Every year during Memorial Day weekend, Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT kicks off the summer with racing events on Saturday and Monday. I haven’t been up there for almost 10 years, which is surprising to me because Lime Rock is close, I like cars, and it’s a fun way to spend a day.
Anyway, we decided to head up on this past Saturday to check out the races that day. I’ve never shot any kind of real motorsports, so I was excited to try my hand at it. For the majority of the photos, I used my Canon 7D and 70-200 f/2.8L IS. Shooting this kind of stuff is really nothing like how I normally shoot, so it was nice to step outside of my comfort zone and try something new.
Below are a few photos I was especially happy with, or you can see the rest of the gallery here.

Hope you enjoy!
