The first time we actually met Chelsea + Joe was when we showed up at Chelsea’s parents house in Bridgewater for their engagement shoot. Sure, we had exchanged a few emails and talked on the phone, so we had a pretty good idea we were going to like them, but we were really happy to...
About me:
A few years ago I was lucky enough to marry my best friend. At the time I was an avid amateur photographer, so I was fairly picky about whom we chose to shoot our wedding. We hired an amazing photographer, and the whole experience really sparked my interest in wedding photography.
It made me realize that wedding photography is so much more than just creating pictures—it's having a connection with your clients so they trust you and are relaxed around you. It's about being creative, anticipating the moment and being ready to photograph it. It's about being engaged with what is happening around you, but being unobtrusive enough so people forget you're there. It's about putting your heart into your work, so your clients feel connected to it. This is what I strive for every time I photograph a wedding.
Want to know more about me? Let's see—I love animals, and try to help them however I can. I love the outdoors; I ski during the winter, hike and mountain bike during the summer. I'm a huge Volkswagen fan. I want to buy pretty much anything Apple creates. I love traveling but don't get to do it enough. I’m addicted to audiobooks and podcasts. I don't watch much TV, but when I do I'm usually watching something on the Discovery Channel or the Food Network. Most importantly, I never get tired of pushing my photography and trying new things—in fact, I look forward to it!
